KIEV, UKRAINE
The IDCEE conference which is all about innovations, modern Internet trends and latest forecasts by VC investors, will be taking place in Kiev - one of the most ancient cities in Europe (the first written record of Kiev dates back to 559).
The city's name is said to derive from the name of Kyi, one of its four legendary founders (also Shchek, Horyv and Lybid). Kiev is the capital and largest city of Ukraine with a population of 2.6M inhabitants. It is the 8th largest city in Europe. The heart of the city is beautifully situated on a series of wooden hills that rise steeply from the west (right) bank of the Dnieper which flows lazily in a broad bed, filled with ribbon-like islands.
