Booming stars of global online education to speak @ IDCEE 2013
According to experts, in 2013 online learning will finally move from the periphery and will become an integrated part in the core of educational system. Leading American universities have already introduced combined and online courses, certification and credits for online courses, and the number of online students is constantly growing during the last 10 years.
‘I am delighted to be able to participate in the program of the IDCEE Conference, - said Daphne Koller, co-founder of Coursera. - Many of our students are in the CEE region, and I'm excited to have this opportunity to connect with them more directly. We have recently set up collaborations with several organizations in the region, including Digital October, Kcell, and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, to help translate Coursera courses into key languages for the CEE (Russian, Kazakh, and Ukrainian), to increase even further everyone's access to a great education. We are committed to enabling learning without limits, and I look forward to sharing that vision with the IDCEE audience’.
The popularity of online education in Ukraine will grow, believes IDCEE organizer Viktoriya Tigipko. ‘Self-education is critical for every entrepreneur, - she says. – We want to improve everyone’s access to qualified education, and decided to do a separate panel on this topic at IDCEE’.
