Global startup incubators at IDCEE 2013

Jon Bradford from TechStars London will participate in Accelerators Panel. TechStars is called a ‘№1 accelerator in the world’. Every year, TechStars selects less than 1% among thousands of aspiring teams who apply (in particular, the IDCEE 2012 participant Ukrainian startup CheckiO was among those selected to the Spring 2013 Boston Class). ‘IDCEE has become the go-to conference in the CEE region.  I am thoroughly looking forward to participating in the conference’, – says Jon Bradford from TechStars London. Mike Reiner from Startup Wiseguys, Lauri Antalainen from Game Founders and Arkadiusz Hajduk from Huge Thing are also to take part in the discussion.

Startups at IDCEE will have a chance to pitch in front of the incubators and accelerators jury during the Startup Toaster, short-pitch sessions. Startup Toaster is a new format to be introduced at IDCEE this year. The pre-selected teams will be able to pitch in front of experienced mentors, and get their expertise and feedback. Jon Bradford from TechStars London, Eveline Buchatskiy from the Ukrainian EastLabs and Andy Shannon from Startupbootcamp will be the judges at Startup Toaster. The expectations are quite high, says Andy Shannon from Startupbootcamp, a global accelerator network present in more than 30 countries: ‘I'm super excited to be included in the Startup Toaster pitches during IDCEE. I've heard great things about the startup ecosystem in Ukraine, and expect the quality to be very high. I'm particularly interested in what kind of technologies teams will be presenting and also where their initial customers are located’.
