How Social Networks Develop in the Age of Mobile - Keith Teare on Main Stage
Founder at Archimedes Labs and CEO at Chat Center started his speech with dividing thing into those in process of death - nods, javascipt, amazon - and those in process of birth, like bitcoin, uber, airbnb, which couldn't even exist without smartphones.
'Everthing that exists in the past in no longer relevant. When buiding something new you need to chose ingredients that have future ahead them’ - claims the speaker. Keith considers Facebook to be a good example of how a social network can reinvent itself: "It's no longer a web company, it's virtual reality company with all the services they bought, e.g. Instagram" - he says.
Keith also told about his new project - Chat Center - and explained its main idea: communication via chat address like phone number. So it doesn't matter which phone or operating system you use. Keith Teare believes that paying for different apps will soon go away and everything will be available for free.
When the context changes rapidly if you do not act as a startup you won't stay relevant.
