Bernhard Niesner (34 years and originally from Vienna, Austria) is the CEO & Co-founder of busuu.com, the world's largest social network for language learning with more than 30m registered users and 40k sign-ups per day. busuu.com offers access to audiovisual language courses in 12 different languages combined with direct interaction with native speakers of the global community. The start-up has been named "Best Education Start-Up" in Europe by TechCrunch and has received investment by renown serial entrepreneurs like Martin Varsavsky and PROFounders Capital.
Bernhard graduated in International Business from the University of Vienna and holds an MBA from IE Business School where he is also an Associate Professor in online marketing. In his spare time, Bernhard relaxes while playing the piano, loves skiing in winter times and kitesurfing during the summer.
