Esther Dyson is not only the chairman of EDventure Holdings, but also is on the board of Medstory, Meetup Inc., Eventful.com, Boxbe, Voxiva and Yandex.
Her primary activity is investing and nurturing start-ups, with a fresh focus on health care and aerospace. She recently spent most of six months training as a back-up cosmonaut in Star City outside Moscow Russia.
Her IT investments have included Flickr and del.icio.us (both sold to Yahoo!), and Medstory (sold to Microsoft), as well as new Icon Aircraft, Space Adventures (programs for space tourists) and XCOR Aerospace.
