Ramil Ibragimov was born in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, Russian Federation and graduated from Kazan Federal University with two degrees – in genetic engineering and finances.
He spent 8 years working for the one of the best Russian regional TV-companies as an anchor, reporter and editor-in-chief. His team three times – in 2002, 2003 and 2007 - picked up TEFFI (the TOP Russian TV-award) for the best Russian regional daily news TV-program.
In 2010 Ramil Ibragimov was invited on the position of the Executive Director of the Kazan city IT-park – the first Russian technopark focused on ICT-market. In 2011-2013 IT-park was considered to be the best Russian technopark according to the annual official rankings made by Russian ministry of communications and mass media. In 2012 the construction works on IT-park in Naberezhnyye Chelny we finished and Ramil Ibragimov became its CEO.
Working for IT-parks Ramil got acquainted with Serguei Beloussov, founder and Senior partner at VC Runa capital, who invited him to become the member of Runa team and in March, 2013 Ramil became the Business Development Director at Runa Capital, a $135M VC investing into technological startups in fast growing segments of cloud computing, internet, mobile apps, and virtualization.
